This morning my dogs eye was the normal brown color but did have some crust didn't think anything about figured maybe allergies and went to work. When I got home this is what it looks like completely blue this eye is normally brown. I am taking her to the vet tomorrow is there anything I can do between now and then to help her. She tries to scratch it rub it with her leg. Any info would help.  Thanks.

Was waiting on the vet this morning when they opened.  Said something got in there and caused an ulcer.  She is now getting eye drops, an eye cream, and a pill twice a day.  I am bringing her back Thursday to make sure everything is going in the right direction.  Vet said as long as it doesn't get infected her eye should be ok.

I was gonna say, looks like an ulcerated cornea. Stay dilligent with the meds and she should be fine.

Our best strike dog's eye is doing the same thing...He always has gunk in his eyes but yesterday I noticed one looked cloudy! I was thinking about trying the Vetricin eye gel stuff. Anyone ever use that stuff?

I've had several dogs go through this, Vetericyn twice a day always had it cleared up within a few days. Before I found that, the generic triple antibiotic cream in a tube at H.E.B would work great well too but took longer.

Could all the pollen in the air be causing this?! All my dogs are in the same style kennel but a couple dogs show the same gunk in there eyes. I have been giving them allergy meds and its working great. I'm guessing the pollen is effecting them just like it is me!! My eyes have been swollen ever since these darn pine trees started dropping loads of pollen everywhere!!!

Not a Vet but it always happened to my dogs right about this time. Think it has to do with oak and pollen being high. Some dogs would get runny discharge around the eyes and others right next to them would be completely fine just like people and allergies. The redness in the dog's eye in the pic seems like they've been rubbing on it. I had young dogs do that and that's when I had to use the vetericyn.
