Had a man in my church who was bad allergic to it. He saw an episode of Mythbusters that showed to use vodka and rub it on the rash. He had got into it and he sent his wife to buy the vodka LOL but he swore it was the real deal. He usually would break out in blisters but by the next morning you couldn't even see where it had been. I've heard other people say it works too. I've never had it but I know it is miserable.

I get this crap when I look at it lol. I go to the doctor and get a steroid shot with cream. Nothing works for me over the counter. I'm. Not kidding I. Get these stuff at least 10 times plus a year.

I can take off rolling around in oak, ivy and sumac and look like I took a good bath. I have been fortunate enough to have never gotten it. When I was a freshman I high school we picked pecans for money. Brian and garret ( two buddy's) went snake hunting one night an caught poision sumac. The next day they bet me both of their sacks of pecans I wouldn't roll in poision oak. I wound up with 3 ice creams and a bottle of rc cola without a blemish. I haven't been scared since

had it so bad one time i had 3 of the shots from the doctor, i think its a steroid shot. Ive tried everything on google. Vinegar, gasoline, alcohol, prescription creams, wash it with hot water then put my arms in icy water none of it worked for me. Only thing that did was the cheep poison ivy cream from wallgreens. I think it was iverest brand. Even saw a skin specialist cause it looked like a flesh eating bacteria, and he said there is no way to build up an immunity to it, each time you get it will potentially be the worst

Well either I have been real lucky or never touched it. But I used to do surveying and I was cutting line through poison oak. Just another plant to me. I am not good at identifying plants so it is good I am not allergic.

I didn't use to get it at all . I got the shots when I was a child 1960 something . but I have found that since I've gotten older I get it a little [ not bad ] just a little in between my fingers sometimes . but it clears up fast on it's own  .   and at certain times for the most part it is just a vine and not real potent

Minus the shot in the 60s, im the same way. Get an extremely mild rash between the fingers. It'll clear in a day or so. There USED to be (not sure if its still out there) a liquid called IVY DRY that worked real good on my dad n step mom. Its similar to the vodka trick, but it has a binding agent that smothers the area its applied to and cuts off the oxygen to it and chokes it out and the alcohol, pulls cleans the oil out.

Take allergy meds. Your doctor can give you a script for an antihistamine. But Benadryl should help. They make me tired but the sleep may help you.

Don't use any of the Walmart off the shelf crap it does nothing! I get it atleast 4 times a year and honestly nothing really helps take it away in a day. Best thing to do is go get a cortizone shot at your local doctor and get cottonballs with either vodka or pine-sol and rub it few times a day. Another thing that works is degreasers, it helps pull the poison out of your skin like it does getting oil off your skin. Another thing that works but will hurt like hell is take your pocket knife and scratch all the bumps and bust them open. I know it sounds like a bad idea but then pour alcohol on the open bumps and they will be scabbed up by morning. Those are the best ways to do it. Other than than just tough it out man I know it sucks but it won't last forever. Try to avoid touching your dogs for a few days chances are they have it all over them. And there is no permanent get rid of poison ivy shot. I've searched the world over
 Good luck to ya
