I know a lot of you all go to Uncle Earls to check out the stuff, look at a couple of runs in the bay pen and then take the inevitable down dog peddlers lane listening to every sales pitch you can imagine and then try and in some cases trying to imagine what is all in that dog. For those who compete in the Randy Bumpur's you know that it takes solid dog power, great spots, great hunting ethic and a little luck to win. Now what I am getting at is the Randy Bumpur's Tournament does have concessions, live bands, vendors this year, and best of all is that stroll you take down the long line of trailers and look st the hogs and dogs and there is no doubt what type of dogs you are looking at. I can't think of a better tournament to test your dogs abilities, as well as yours and try to win but also get leads on stock that could compliment your stock and I am sure if you got the right amount of cash you could certainly buy some sure enough hog dogs on the spot and get exactly what you pay for most likely.

I personally am lacking on the dog power to be comfortable but I can't resist the temptation that " Lady Luck" will be on my side and just maybe let us bring that title back to Louisiana, but the spirit of the comp is what really drives me to compete and maybe find me some good lines to cross to down the road.

How many of y'all will be hunting and how many will be attending to see and talk about "true working hog dog stock" that will have the proof in the trailer?

That makes two Texans from this board that may stop us Louisiana boys from bringing the Randy Bumpur's title back to Louisiana!;). Come on fellas, the best Tournament in the world, literally and there isn't more of y'all going to get out there and give it a go this weekend? I know the polygraph fella that is doing this one and he has put folks in jail including judges and has 35 yrs experience so don't let the BS from the other two Tournaments hold you back. Also, Cole isn't hunting this Tournament and Van Dorn, TShelly, CWard and company ought to not have a hog left on any of their places so it is anyone's Tournament to win!

Van Dorn, TShelley, and Chance, I sure hope you three aren't planning on fishing this weekend?Smiley

That's what I'm talking about Charles. Folks on here need to get out and come support this Tournament each and every year. This is no " Jake Leg" Tournament! I will need all the luck I can get because the competition is tough and these teams have some "Serious" dog power! My best dog is 9, my second best is 11 and my only other solid dog is 7. I am fat and out of shape but I am not letting these things stop me from hunting in this comp. winning is always the main goal, but I have had a blast each and every year and told my wife before we got married that I would be hunting it every year I could and it isn't up for discussion unless there is a funeral or child is sick. I will be in a white F 150 with a red Ranger with big aluminum dog box mounted on the back of it on my trailer. Look forward to meeting some folks from the board.

Mike,

It's easy to do when it is the truth and that much fun! Just competing in a tournament like this one is fun, winning would be extroidinary! I didn't know Randy Bumpur's but by all accounts he was a Really Great Guy that was loved by all! Hate that I never got to meet him, because folks like he has been described are far and few between.
