The crew for the Randy Bumpers was TH&D Brian, Wynn, Brandon, Wesly, Graham, Senna, Leon, and Myself CUJO. We Kicked the dogs at 12:00 on the dot Sat morning hunted a nassty Swamp with no luck then decided to get some rest and hit the WYNN River at daylight. Brian had a plan for the whole weekend and it was to run different waves of different styles at these hogs so they could never settle down Kinda like giving them body blows over and over. Daylight of the first morning Rough Dog Crew we CUT Chicka Copper Jack Joe and BO into a group of hogs all H breaks loose Chicka Copper roll 1000 yds and catch out on a 240 lbs boar hog with a great set of Knifes Brandon is on scene quickly to leg and throw the hog and Leon and I get their and help hobble it. At the same time Jack, Joe, and Bo are bayed up 1000 yards west I guess if you call what they were doing baying (she didn't make the weigh in do to the stress and Bo,Jack and Joe) Leon, Brandon, and Roxie Get there and CAUGHT HOG! Wave #1 240 lbs boar, 220 lbs sow. Second Wave loose dogs we Cut Wynn's Yella crew loose and Freak and Bentley 5 minutes in Freak and Bentley open and one of the younger dogs catch a shoate and the race is on not 5 minutes later Bentley is bayed on a big Sow in the middle of the open field Brian Wynn and Brandon fly to him with Tank CAUGHT HOG 220 Lbs sow, as I' headed to the bay Freak and Brandons pup come flying outta the woods into the open field and bay up an 180lbs boar. Second wave first cast 220lbs sow, 180 lbs boar. Second wave second cast I cast Freak Bentley and others Freak opens less than 2

Second wave 170 sow  50 bacon bit. Third wave went to the other side of the ranch and Kick out Superman and Apache Superman and Apache burn the woods up and Superman opens we get to him and Chicka catches a sow Superman rolls and rolls the rest of the evening what and impressive animal! Fourth WAVE THE FINAL PUSH Dogs  Freak Bentley Nicki Wynn's yella gyps Bo and Copper.  Brian drops all the dog and Freak Goes about 50 yds and bays a 300 lbs boar and the it breaks and the Boar runs right through the nursery and messes the dogs up and we catch a 85 lbs sow gather the dogs Bryan hoods Nicki and Superman to the other side of the ranch I cast Superman, Petey, Nicki, Freak, and Bentley wow whatta crew!!!! it wasn't 5 minutes and every dog opens at the same time hog race is on 170 lbs boar hog they get it stopped and Leon and Roxie seal the deal. Let me begin by saying THANK YOU to txhogsanddogs, Wynn, Senna, Brandon, Wesley, and Graham for having us out to hunt. Hunting this tournament was truly a great experience for Curtis and I. It is not often that you get the opportunity to hunt with GREAT PEOPLE, exceptional weather (scent conditions to die for) good land, and good dogs. All Team Members were respectful and collaborative. Each Team Member contributed something unique to enhance the experience. The most fun and physically demanding hunt for me to date.  Legging/Tying hogs (and wrestling with dogs) on steep wet creek banks may not be everyone's idea of a good time, but I loved every minute of it. Literally couldn't wipe the smile off my face! Dogs sounded AWESOME down in those bottoms. Voices carried better than ever. We are pleasure hunters for the most part. This weekend validated a few things for me.

Tournaments can be fun when they are approached with the correct mindset.

Hog Hunting at night sucks. JMO.

Each Bay and Hog/group of hogs presents a unique set of challenges. You can do everything right and miss em. You can do everything wrong and catch em.

Oh we will be there that's for sure..  Everyone better watch out...  After hunting 8 or so tournaments this year all on the same place and still catching 15 to 20 in daylight hours I have allot better plan for next year.  For one, I won't be hunting 8 tournaments but I will be hunting the ones that count...  We have the hogs and we have the weight...  Congrats to the teams this year that pulled ahead.  I learned allot about tournaments this year that should make me very competitive player next year...  I know how to catch hogs just didn't really save my places like I should have for the ones that counted.  TDHA and Randy Bumpurs is mine next year so ya'll better start feeding them hogs! Wink

Had a great time everyone...  Leon/Curtis, yall are welcome back anytime!  Now post some pictures of that bruiser Chica busted her butt for!  Wink
