Destroying or stealing some1 elses stuff is just as wrong as them torturing an animal. Only justification of "stealing" it would be, if they were given ample time to remove the item/s from the property, only by land or lease owners authorisation to remove it. Turn the person in for animal abuse/neglect, patition for more strict trapping laws and a severe punishment for breaking the law, would go further than destroying or stealing, EXCEPT, ifthat trapper/hunter is trespassing. Then a good ole' punji pit will fix the problem

i have never liked people trapping hogs around here because they go shoot them and throw them in a creek somewhere but for every hog they shoot thats one less ill get to run. if i do find a trap in the woods with dead hogs in it i know it wont be there when they go back it will be a big pile of scrap metal laying there for them to see when they come back. its no reason any person should be so irresponsible to let any kind of animal die like that. im not a animal hugger but i do have morals

Im not a theif , but I will not tolerate irrasponsible people from the woods to work , lots of stuff at the bottom of the river , as for backing up what I have and will do , Im no tuff guy but just like my dogs all heart and no give , there is thousand of acres of public by my place { public } and if the public dont take care of , I will no arguement , you cant stay awake long enought to catch me , you poach a deer were I can here it , best just leave it because I will lay in the ditch all night , you leave hogs in your trap for days and not check , next time you will be checking it at the bottom of the river , no threats just fact , Ive had stands bent around trees before , must of been a strong guy , but I dont care , have respect for mother nature , dont leave your trash , ect ect ect , because if you jack up around my place I will fix it plain and simple , I look at it the same way some of you look at hogs , there just rodents and have no buisness being there , JMO

Except with a rodent trap snaps and that's the end quick. With hog in trap i have no problem with a guy shooting it in the trap it would probably be better you shoot one in open field it runs and dies. What I'm tring to say is don't let the thing suffer. Period!

I think traps should have water and shade. They should be checked every day. I don't care if you use them to feed a family or the buzzards. But the animal should die as quickly and painless as possible. It is just the right thing to do. What if someone's hog dog ran up in the pen? I even saw a picture on here of a deer in here. You don't know what may get in the trap. Unless you have a trao that only catches pigs then you better check it. Also I never thought about putting my number on the trap. That is a good idea. Plus if you wire the gate open when you can't check it the pigs can come and go they get used to going in and you may catch more.
