Cricket X Boyd pups, cricket is two years old and is her first litter she had five big pups yesterday morning and as of yesterday evening she still wasn't putting out any milk. Cricket is half YBMC half plott silent on the track use to yip a little on a hot track but has about grown out of that. Boyd is for sure one of the best hog dogs around, anybody that's hunted with him will say the same. I'm off over here in Saudi working wishing I was there to tend to my pups, anyway I said all that to say this in the morning my wife is going to check and see if cricket is putting out milk if not I'm going to have to find a wet gyp somewhere around east Texas, if anybody has one please shot me a pm and I'll get the guy that owns Boyd  come  by and pick her up. If I have to use a wet gyp I will pay for using her.

You can give her some calcium gluconate from tractor supply if you don't find another female...

Pups look good...

Often times with their first litter it does not look like their producing enough milk but they are. They look pretty content in the top pic.
Hope everything turns out good for you. Get the calcium gluconate like mentioned above and keep feed in front of her.

I would agree with Jimco...our God does amazing things.  Many pups have been raised using bottles too...something you may want to look at in case she cannot nurse pups.

I agree with Jimco. It's tough not being home to tend to them yourself, but if u can, have your wife just check and see if their belly's feel full after they nurse. They sure look good

Her milk looks fine in the pics. Some times its hard to tell from pics though. Good looing pups. I hope they turn out for you.

One of our gyps just had a first time litter and she didn't have a very big milk bag but she is feeding 8 pups just fine.

Just got and update from my wife, good and bad news. Can you believe today she had 3 more pups but two of them were dead, the biggest pup out of the litter was born dead, but good news she did start putting out milk. Wi-Fi here sucks so haven't been able to download anymore pics but will keep trying, now I have 3 males and 3 females

My favorite one is the white colored one on her leg, it's the live one she had toady, sorry about the dead one in the picture but the gyp wouldn't let my wife get it and I told her not to stir her up to much.

like already been said...keep her well fed and plenty of clean water in front of her...that makes plenty of milk for the pups...
