Mike, does comfortis work for ticks too? I don't have fleas but my dogs have been covered in ticks this year and where do you get it at?

Comfortis....I've never heard of it till this was posted....sounds nice n easy which I like. All the spraying (2 times a month) gets old. It's a lot of work to maintain spraying that much.

man fleas are funny that way , a couple of my curs have no problem with fleas at all and a couple just stay covered up with them [ inbetween sprayings  ]  I know fleas love a white colored dog , the white attracts them . they were getting ready to get bad around here till I mowed and broke out the permethrin 10% and the martins  I.G. REGUALTOR   but I think this is gonna be one of them bad years I was hoping the late freeze would knock them back .

So I just called to vet. A tablet for a 100 lb dog is $17.50, crush it up in 1/2, and give it to two 50 pound dogs, every 3 or 4 mths?

I always go proactive. I treat the soil with the flea and tick killer. The granular kind that you water in. Kills grubs and other stuff too. The I treat with the tree and shrub stuff. I heard today that you can give them garlic pills , you know the cheep pills from walmart in the vitamin sections. I'm not sure if it'll work or not, but it may be worth a try.   The thing is when you get it under control, dont stop.... keep a good routine going. Just like a worming routine.

good luck
