Well we were in the bay pen yesterday trying to show a few pups what was going on and a buddy put his older gyp in there with them to show then the ropes. There's a hole in the pen that's about waist deep in water and the hog jumped in it. As the gyp was baying from the side of the hole she slips in and goes straight under then just floats up. I mean it wasn't even 3 seconds long! We got her out fast but she was gone in a flash. Best we can figure is she was in mid bark when she slipped and just sucked up a mouthful. Anyone ever had this happen it was the craziest thing.

Hate to hear that!
I've seen a hog brought back with "CPR"....minus the mouth to mouth, lol.
Should work on a dog too

If she was dead before yaw got her out, that would hav to do with heart trouble or severing of the spinal cord at the skull. There shoulda been some kinda indication she was drowning, especialy with sec of her goin in the water n resurfacing unless the water had a instantly fatal toxin that she was allegic to. Hate to hear yaw lost her though.

Why should I trade one tyrant three thousand miles away for three thousand tyrants one mile away? An elected legislature can trample a man's rights as easily as a king can!

Lol hog was only like 30lbs too. We tried CPR but she was gone. It was like an instant thing. I don't see how it could have been anything but drowning except maybe a heart attack. She just slowly slipped in didn't hit anything

That is crazy. It don't sound like a drown tho. Dogs can handle water pretty good if it almost instant that sounds like another cause if death

Sounds like she slipped, went under, and broke her neck.

I don't think she could have went all the way to the bottom its to my waist on the side and probably a good 6 foot in the middle. Why they dug it that deep idk . But for her to die that fast I guess it could have happened
