Anyone know something that will flat out murder ants? I need something that won't harm puppies if possible.

Sevin Dust #5... don't use the #10. Vet said you can even sprinkle a little on the pups to get rid of fleas if needed.

over and out fire ant killer #1 in my books. Kills ants and fleas and ticks and ....... I have used it for years and it works great. Water it in after appling helps to speed up the distruction of the ants. I treat the yeard as needed once every month or so. Need a spreader to apply. put small amount on each ant hill and your done

Over and out is fipronil, same active as frontline. If you have a contact with an exterminator you can buy fipronil concentrate by the quart, then mix and spray as needed.

I can buy any chemical I need. Does Fipronil liquid leave a residue? Is it safe for puppies? I've tried all the normal store stuff like Amdro. None of them can keep up. I thought about getting some Award but it costs a lot and takes a couple of months to work. By then they will be gone anyways.

U gonna think i'm nuts here but i had the same problem a few years back with the ants eating my chicks and guineas. All of the chemicals that would kill the ants had a residual that would hurt the birds so i fed the ants away from the pens, i used some chicken, then once all the ants were out eatin the chicken i put a barrier of DE diatematious earth (sp?) around the pen then i used the hardcore chemicals on the outside of that. killed the ants quick. and not a bird got sick. Still will rarely admit that i fed the fireants, scared i might get death threats lol
