Yeah Bryant summer time pups are rough but good because its our off season anyway, hardly ever hunt anymore during the summer. Allows us to still hunt the gyps in the next spring and start our 9 month old naturals from the litters while its still good hunting. Hopefully she'll keep them all, I'm super excited about this litter watching her x briars pups that are now turning 8 months old. 4 are turning out to be sho enough. We've gotten away from the black dogs merely from bad luck and old dogs passing. It'll be cool to have some more to raise

Lexi is 1/8 yellow dog.. Nice to know these pups will have even less yellow gold in them Mike and Myles Smiley

Appreciate it guys.

Anything special that y'all feed a gyp after whelping to help optimize her recovery & milk output?

No bird dogs mr. Parker. My gyp does have a little walker/pit/bmc in her. We got extremely low on dogs a while back and bred Erik's old black dog to a rough, hard hunting hogdog gyp I used to have. It's down to 1/8 walker, 1/16 pit, 1/16 yellow dog in these pups. Her outcross has allowed me to breed back in really tight. Here is where the rest of the majority of lineage behind the pups originated. Ours are just a different branch of the tree once we found what we liked we have tried to recreate and hold on to those few nice ones

Some recent pics of the ninjas!

Some blue definitely creeping in from somewhere in the woodpile, gator moufs need not apply

Eyes open now, it's all up hill from here. Now the fun part starts and their personalities begin to develop.. I definitely have my eye on the smokey brown gyp.
