I'm curious for you guys who catch hogs and sell them. On American Hoggers they are always talking about making money on hogs they catch. Do they get paid per head to catch or do they just sell the ones they catch. In Arkansas I catch hogs almost every time I go hunting but I never thought about selling them and hogs aren't bad enough to be paid to catch hogs. Just curious.

Lots of people sell them. I personally can't deal with most people so I don't go that route. I only keep what I need the rest get cut loose.

Not many buyers in AR. There are some in TX and OK but the only folks buying round here are the hog hunting high fence places and there aren't many of them. Myself what is caught on farms either gets eaten or left to rot if to hot. All the farms are pretty much catch and kill. What we catch in the hills when I hunt with those guys goes in someone's freezer always. We keep several families well supplied.

If were hungry it goes in the freezer, if not, cut loose.  Only have one place thats everything dies, but theres lots of folks who need meat.

Gotta have a special license in Florida to sell live hogs and theres no buying stations anymore.

Yup just go to the nearest trailer park. There will be people that want some meat. They can pay what they want. If hunting a ranch always give one or two to the cowboys. I don't feel like cleaning them but can't turn them back out.
