I recently changed over to Retriever 27% dog food, it's tractor supply brand. I'm pretty impressed how my dogs have taken a liking to it on both ends Grin. Mine and my brothers dogs are kenneled right next to each other and as he feeds his sport mix black bag 30$(give or take) my dogs look just as good if not better with this retriever brand (20-22$) both are 50# bags to. Just thought I'd shine some light on a good product with a good price.

About the best cheaper feed out there. Everything else has gone stupidous.

Another tip is wait for the 10% off coupon and go by the pallet. Knocks it down a lil more.

I feed it during the summer & like it. I did notice that during the winter when I am running my dogs hard, I had to go back to diamond to keep the weight on. At our TSC I can buy it by the pallet & get 10% off anytime.

I changed over to retriever. Diamond raised their prices and I don't need it that bad. So I tried the retriever and my dogs liked it. I noticed less poop too.

I've been feeding it too, but am thinking about killing a donkey once month and running it thru a wood chipper cuz people are pretty well given em away.  Cheesy

Just joking PETA.  Wink

I gave that retriever a shot and they looked good on it until I started hunting them a lil harder and they just seemed to get burned out a lot faster.

Got two dogs from my hunting buddy and he fed retriever he could not keep weight on these dogs. But I feed high energy and I noticed significant changes in these two dogs, but could be these certain two dogs, bloodline, genetics, etc. not saying one is better than the other just my experience.

Use to know a old man who would hang a hind quarter of any animal. Cows, horses, mules, donkey pink elephants if he could get his hands on it. He would hang it in the middle of his pens and lower it daily. Did this for years and would feed some kibble every other day. PETA would have had a fit with this dude.

Good to see my dogs aren't the only ones that like it. I switched to it because summer is here and didn't want to feed a high fat food to them cuz it's gunna get hot!
