I think they're talkin bout the blue bag.  Its the high energy and (I think) the only retriever that doesn't have corn as the first ingredient.  I've heard mixed reviews from a few people.

I switched over to the River Run Hi-energy (24-20), and I think I read here that it was recently re-formulated.  I switched to save a few bucks and I am really liking it so far, and so is a buddy that switched...but seems other people have found out about it too, cuz the price keeps going up on it now too???

When I can't afford Diamond High Energy.....(Typically Never)
I like to run the red back 21% in hot summer and blue bag 27% in winter.
To supplement the hard winter months....get ya some eggs and crack over the feed and mix it in.

And every once in awhile........throw a chicken in the pen also.  Great exercise and lots of good nutrition.

I would recommend using brooder house hens and not game!

Still got a one eyed, two toed Kelso rooster that's been in their for couple weeks. Heck.....think he has started to eat chickens also.  laugh

Feed value pak and they were horrible looking switched to retriever blue and they did great.  Thought I would go cheaper and tried the green bag anf they were horrible again. Went to diamond hogh mantiance for $22 a bag and tjey have never looked better. Well the diamond wasnt on sae so I bought a bag or blue retriever to keep them over till I got the diamond on sale again and they could not keep weight on them for nothing.  So I just went and paid $24 a bag

What's their crap look and smell like? I know when I used it a few years back the dogs looked good but the kennels smelled bad and their crap was real wet and stunk.... They have the Sports mix on sale at TSC til April for 22.50 a bag, and like 25 a bag regular price... The sports mix doesn't cause the crap to smell real bad and it is pretty solid makes cleaning the kennels a lot easier..... Since I live in town I have to try to keep the odor down...

As far as smell- with both brands, it all smelled like dog chitt and had this brownish color too it that resembled the common turd

heck myles, most the time I don't have to switch but this has been a long, cold, wet winter and that high pro just didn't have enough fat. They were keeping the muscle but loosing the much needed fat. Another good thing about that black bag. Doesn't matter what I feed the dogs, if I ever switch to sportmix they will eat every piece in the bowl. I've also fed em a couple pigs that I cooked over a barrelmight be better ways of doing it but this was pretty simple and burning the hide gave em something to chew on for a few days

We'll it was a serious question and was trying to get an honest opinion cause maybe u didn't know cause ur maybe a dip$hit but different dog foods will cause dogs to crap more foul than others....oh we'll have a good day.

Far from a dipsh!t, It was a joke. Sorry u took it wrong. Crap changed colors, that's about it. My buddy feeds hipro in a yellow bag from the local feed store and his bulldog stinks worse then any dog I've been around and it gives him the runs but he looks good.

Then again every dog is different, just as people are. My bulldog keeps his own poop cleaned up. When he gets done, he turns around like a cat and throws dirt all over his poop and keeps kicking until it's spread out like fertilizer ha. Too bad the rest of my dogs don't have this technique
