Went out yesterday to some new property we got invited to. Took bambino my Dogo pup, and gator a 6 year old lab x cur. Gator will bay/ catch when back up gets there.Really just wanted bambino to learn from an old timer.

Well we found some fresh sign where the owner had seen some hogs earlier that morning and dropped bambino on it. Walked him around for a little bit on the leash. About 15 mins later he about jerked me to ground he pulled so hard. So I went ahead and cut him loose. He worked the area and took off across the field into a palmetto brush area. Worked it for a few minutes and sure enough he broke a head of about 6 young hogs. I'd say about from 30 - 80 pounds. The others ran out but bambino stayed with one in the palmetto head and caught it. After we broke him off we loaded him up and dropped gator.  Gator bayed one up about 30 minutes later, as soon as we walked in he caught it.

Gave the dog a break and the. Dropped bambino and gator together. They hit another palmetto brush and two hogs busted out and took off. Gator caught one in the middle of the field, I expected bambino to hear it and go to the caught hog. To my surprise he took off after the other one but he didn't stay with it. All in all I think It was a great day of learning for bambino. He's really the first Dogo we've ever had that will actually work his nose. I know I rambled but I was just excited about his progress.

Thanks guys. He's working out pretty well so far. Have a few things he needs a little boot to butt teaching on. But all in all I'm happy.

He just turned a year old may 28th. His birthday is two days before mine! That's how I remember lol.

In sure hope he keeps on going down the path he's going. If so he's got a forever home & will be my first foundation Dogo. But if not he will go to a family memeber.
