Cool pic dated 1893 via Barbie Vaughs collection of pics. I like these old pics, Tico at jam up bulldogs has a good collection of old pics I like as well. The question on Barbie's page was what kinda dog, what y'all think ?  |

Looks a lot like the type of old bulldogs back late 1700's early 1800's kinda favors that hand painting I have of a bulldog from back then .

Yea somewhat. I was thinking bulldog, mastiff n cur type maybe. He was well fed that's for sure.

Looks like some kinda cur bulldog mix ... Underdog you ever been to Pete's burger off 494 on the wall in there they got some cool old bear huntin and hog huntin articles in the back left corner it's pretty cool to read

I'm quite positive that I'd be wrong no matter what I tried to guess that dogs background as BUT I would sure a hell like to have one just like him in my yard watching over my stuff........something about him says....well actually screams.... " screw up and I will rip you to pieces " lol. That ol dog looks like 100% business! Great pic and thanks for posting.
