Lots of reasons Matthew. Needing Money could be 1, trying to get his line recognized is another. Just getting out of the sport maybe.

Granted...it doesn't happen that often but if I were needing (and willing to pay for) a really good strike dog...I'd at least check the adds out. Do your homework before hand and you'll be fine. Me personally, I'd hate to miss a good deal just because I was too skeptical to even call.

JMO

I didn't mean that there aren't any sincere people selling truly finished dogs, but I meant there is no way that all of these dogs that are "finished" are legit because it is not very often that someone will sell a dog like that, although to your point, there are circumstances in which some will or may have too.  But when you start seeing 5 or 6 finished dogs for sale every day or see a certain person post 5 for sale in a 6 month period, something just isn't right.  JMO.

Your right about that! And those are the ones you don't even give a second glance after a few posts.

Me personally...i just cant afford the pricetag on a well started to "finished" dog....but, if i could......There are only certain names on this forum I would even entertain the thought of responding to on an adult dog.

I like the guys that "sell out" 3 times a year lol I read almost every add on there when I'm bored just to laugh at the stories and excuses.

One time I was gonna trade my catahoula pup for a young hound I sent the guy a pic well I had texted another guy about a trade and he sends me a pic of my own dog that was in my back yard the two of them had already worked out a trade for her within hours of me offering her and both were ready to trade her again before she ever left my house lol

That's funny stuff right there yep people trip me out some times with the money they drop on these dog what happen to getting a pup building a bond with it and training it up your style then hunting the dog takes time might go thru a few to get the right ones but man is it satisfying kinda like raising your kids up to be productive players of societie jmo and where do all of these guys come from if my boys acted like that I would snatch them up just shows you money is what they want not good dogs

Not all the young 'uns are like that but there is a fair number.

Not so much their fault if you think about...part of it is parenting...part of it is just society, the world we live in.

I reckon I will probly never sell a dog. For starters I would be scared I would ask to much or to little. Then when the next guy got the dog it may not work as it has for me and make me look like a lier. Third even if I gave a man a trial and he was unhappy and brought the dog back would it be hurt, sick, or messed up from him doing whatever he may have done to it. I just couldn't be comfortable with it.

There won't be one, never is I just get tired of someone saying they will drop money for this or that when you still owe someone!!! Some people know everything there is to know about dogs n hogs but they know nothing about honor!!!

Nothing ever got out of hand, noone was told to settle in private. It was posted in the right column, I believe. General Discussion? I am discussing it in General to everyone. If someone isn't going to honor up to what they sold in this case it's a gun and not a dog, would that not be theft? Lot's of people post here that their dogs have been stolen! I for that matter believe that I am doing everyone justice in letting them know what has happened. When it is settled I will let everyone know he is the rightful gentleman he potrays to be. It's not the $400 dollars cause the lord knows I have dropped alot more than that in a night of drunken pleasures.  Wink But like I said its the principal of the whole thing.
