I just sold to damn good dogs they always hunted hard and found pigs for me. I live in Henderson and only hunted around here the guy I sold em to hunts about 400 miles south of here. He has had them for 3 days and hunted them twice and they won't go out and hunt for him. Any ideas?

I make it a point to have at least a couple of weeks or 10 days acclimation time on a started dog . just some time for the dogs to get used to the new owner and likewise the new owner to get used to the dogs actions and personality's . some dogs will hunt for anybody anywhere from the get go and some won't . just makes dang good sense . if the dogs actually hunted good for you they should hunt for the new owner after they get used to each other for a few days . and then some will only perform for the man that raised them from pups , curs are funny that way .

Some dogs are just one person type dogs. They ain't gonna hunt good probably even the first few weeks depending on the dog. Just think if you were the dog, your gone from your home to another, with a new owner, hunting with new dogs, probably hunted differently than you were before. It takes time to adjust
