I don't have nothing against helping a person get up on their feet but I have been getting real hot lately. Times have been real hard for me. I have had to go off in the woods and get diner a time or two. My son has holes in his shoes but will get some new ones by next school year. But I just can't go down and take money because it just don't feel right. I am educated but can't get decent job for anything. Well I decided to get some training and shift to a occupation. But I need the money for the training. So I went down to every store looking for work. I took the first job I was offered. I started pushing shopping carts out of the parking lot of a store in an upscale neighborhood. I pushed carts in the rain and heat without any complaints. I paid for my training and should be getting a decent job in a couple months. But working hard got me working on the register. Now I have all these rich people complaining about the dumbest things. But what boils my blood hotter than a three ____ed billie goat is the people coming in wearing the nice clothes and women with the high dollar purses pulling out a Lone Star card (food stamps)!!!!!

I won't even get into how bad things are for me but I go start pushing shopping carts in the rain and heat while the lazy ____ people get free food!!! Then they are going to complain to me about how the things are put in the bags!!!!! I ain't gonna lie that part about loving my neighbor gets real hard. Now I do show respect and never bring attention to them. I never would do anything to make them feel bad. I do not know any of their life stories. But I think there needs to be some serious looking into the welfare system.

If you see in the news that some crazy employee lost it and started slapping someone with fresh T-bone steak you will know who it was Grin The last part is a joke. I do not want to hurt anyone but I sure get mad at the welfare system.

I do get my 22 and go get my own food. Real men don't need food stamps to feed their family.

One more time....'its EASIER  a camel to go through the eye of a needle than a rich man into heaven" . Dub......the difference between you and those that want to bleed the system is when you go home at night and look in the mirror you can hold your head high and be proud of your achievements. What they see, on the other hand,is punishment enough for eternity.

yep, ive been there, tried that and same chit....i think im not dark enuff.lol..but what really kicks me is when you see a lady in front of you with a few kids hanging off your arms. and she's looking at the register to make sure she has enough money, but realize that she doesn't... and then put back the lunch meat milk eggs and bread. and keeps the potato chips the donuts, and candy..

the new farm bill that was passed is 80% food stamp program and 20% left for the folks it is supposed to help  [ the farmers  ]    did any of you oppose or write you congressmen or senators and show your opposition to this bill ?   it can gripe your behind and make you mad for sure , but has it made you mad enough to help do something about it ?    GET INVOLVED IN POLOTICS FOLKS  that's the only way we can change this crap , same with the hsus and all the anti hunting and dogging laws .  the laws and bills section on this board should be the most looked at and discussed area on this board and it moves the slowest and is hardly noticed . until we the conservative americans get busy and take back our country it will only get worse .

I guess I try to keep my wife dressed nice. For all I know they got the nice clothes and purses at Salvation Army on half price day. Maybe they just want to have something to make them feel human. But to me it is just keeping them where they are and killing them inside to give them the food. Hungry children will sure motivate you to go to work. Then when you have earned it you feel better about yourself. The sad fact is that most people in poverty are white and they have at least one job. But I don't see them coming in with a Lone Star card.

I will be teaching my children how to get food when you don't have money. Get some line and hooks then you can use lots of things for bait. You don't need any rod and reel just tie it to a tree or root. Then you get fresh fish. With a pellet gun you can get birds and squirrels maybe a rabbit if you shoot good enough. Then go get some wild onions and salt is cheap. Then even if it ain't the best dinner they can say that they really made dinner. But the government wants people to be lazy and dependant so they can be "protected."

Dub, i admire your work ethic,  a man's work ethic is a direct sign of CHARACTER.  It goes to show you, that no matter how menial, a good attitude and genuine effort will get you further along, in some instances, very few, that might not be the case. But a man builds his self esteem by the quality of work he produces.  And God said, something like this,,, " so shall a man not work, so shall he not eat" . That goes to show you, also, how un Godly people are who would not require someonemto work to receive food.

Dub,
About 4 months ago I was at the grocery store and young white guy and girl dressed very nice talking about the vacation they are fixing to go on, broke out the lonestar card, this dude had a 200$ pair of Oakleys on his head. I couldn't help myself but I said are you kidding me, you are not ashamed of that, I said it pretty load. I embarrassed them pretty good. They dropped that head. Go to a college and look at the freshman dorms, 80% of the people there do not pay anything, free college for the low income. That pisses me off worse than the lonestar card. My daughter don't qualify for any assistance because of my income. I work construction. go figure

Oh it is white people too.

On top of everthing my wife was rear ended at a red light by some kid so hard it knocked her into the car in front of her almost two weeks ago. Well just talked to the guy that did the estimate for our only car. His estimate is more than the blue book value of the car. Well this is not good timing. Well there goes the engine for my truck. At least there is no loan on the car. I was thinking about a Dodge Durango the third row seating anyways.

Boy, thats a p!sser. I hate when insurance company wont consider all the time it took u to find a good, dependable used car or truck, then wont fix it for u. I have a 88 landcruiser, pristine, owned by a lil Chinese family, i bugged her for 15 years about letting me buy it when she did sell. Had it now for over 5 yrs, last jan, lady pulls right out from a side street onto a busy one way street right in front of me. Still drivable, but hood, fenders, grill etc all took damage. Ins gave me 700& more than i paid for it, but still not enough to fix it. They said it would total, out if they did the "official estimate" luckily, my lil Chinese family has offered me their 1998 landcruiser, so I'm about to pick  that up for my next daily driver.  Good luck with your vehicle
