Ok. Now im embarrassed to say that I had to remove another pup from the pen. Now the grand parents and parents of these pups have been our best hunting dogs. I was told that line breeding them would intensify good and bad characteristics. Im not sure but I think this breeding intensified bad temper. I am still going to keep a couple of the pups to see how they hunt. If the hunt was as intensified as the temperment, I will deal with the temp thing. If not, well I will know not to make this cross again.

Some lines of hard terriers will too.......its probably the screaming  distressed sound from the attacked pup more than anything.  High prey drive !!!!!!?Huh???

With my intervention, none have been killed. But im a little freaked out. Never heard of cur puppies being so brutal. I hope its something I can correct over time.

I bet they'll be fine. We have Patts and a Jagd that will hunt fine along side other dogs. But if they're at home or doing anything other than actively hunting, they do not play well with others....

Thank you for the confidence. I sure hope that they work out. They have the right blood.

Whipping them doesnt do any good. I have started hosing them down with water when they start brawling. Lol seems to work better.

I break up any and all bad behavior before it goes too far with a water hose. Works like a charm.
I never had a litter act like yours but I had a momma cur single out a pup for what ever reason. She could
of killed the pup anytime she wanted but would stop short of killing it. She would make her squeal all day long. I finally had to separate them. After a few weeks they were good. It was her first litter. Bred her a couple more times with no issues.

I've made a couple uncle x niece line breeding's with no issues. I just made another pretty tight breeding
I'm anxious about. A nephew x aunt with plenty of the same dogs top and bottom. I hope it doesn't do like you mentioned and bring out all the bad characteristics.
