1-Found in area that is adjacent to places people hog hunt although land he was on is not available to hunt
2- he is a cross of two to three breds commonly used for hog hunting that is easy to see
3- scars
I guess he could be a cow dog but he aint going to live long if that's his profession and was not found baying cows in the pasture he was in.

Trey, In all likelihood he is probably a cull. Somebody did not want to do the right thing & just dumped him without identification. Either the owners did not have permission Or the dog is a cull. If he was good, you would think he would have some kind of tracking devise or ID on him. Anyway, hope the owner does claim him. Hate it when dogs get dumped.

Outlaw hunters do not run id tags nor tracking units most of the time. At least none of the ones I know around this area do.

Could be wouldn't think a cull could get as scarred up as this one  is but possible or it could be as SJ put it just thought I would try to give someeone a chance at gettingn there dog back, pretty sure he won't last long at the pound just on his looks of alone. I hve had one person contact me but he couldn't tell me what he looked like but thought he was a buddy of his dog? will see if that pans out?

That's awesome! Did they confirm if he was indeed a hog dog?

Thanks and yes he is a hog dog,  sounds like he is more of a rough help dog to me and was found because I posted him on this board. Maybe should make a section for found/lost dogs?

Oh and the tag had come off his collar evidently on closer inspection the rivet holes where there but of course no tag so check your gear as a friendly reminder.

I sure think a lost/found section here would be a real good idea!
