Astro 320 backlight engaging for now reason?

I have my astro 320 with all alerts off and silent. I notice even from the home screen it will occasionally just light up on it's own. Seems to be when the dogs stop like it is alerting me. No message/alert appears just the screen wakes up. I was wondering if anyone had this similar problem and knows a fix or they just do it. All my friends have the 220 there's do not do this.

It is annoying and eating up my batteries when the unit is on but not in use.
