If my dogs were left half as long as half these dogs they would be dead or the hog would be one. Bad part about rough catchy dogs. A man in situations like y'all speak of would more than likely be short a few dogs by time he got there. This is one thing that bothers me about my dogs. But it is the type I choose to run and a chance I must take.

I had a dog bay for 11 hours one time. I left him one night bayed off the property figuring he would come back to my truck at about 11 p.m. I got to him at 10:30 the next morning. He was sitting still on garmin with no barks. I walked 60 yards from him and saw him. He and the pig were both laying down staring at each other. I hollered at him and he jumped up and started baying. Couldnt call him off. Had to go all the way home and get a bulldog.  Caught a little sow bout 120lbs

Yall gonna think Am crazy but I lost my "Bell dog yes the Lacy dog" one morning at around 8 are 9 am we got on a big big group of hogs and I didn't find her till the next morning at around 10 am. so I guess you would say 24 hours are so.  Got a call the next morning that she had been baying most of that day and all nite long in one spot and he had been trying to call her out for two hours  that morning finally she came out he seen my name and number on the collar and called .  Said she had been down there all nite long since yesterday around 10 am.  That was the turning point of that Lacy dog at right around 3 years old has never looked back since and found many many hogs for us .

Bayed a big sow one winter with a gyp that was just been bred. Lost her that day. I had wrote her off for good. Went back to the same general area the next year and heard some dogs baying. Went in to see and there she was with 5 pups baying that same ole sow and shoats. LOL

when its cool and you keep going back and the dogs still bayed but cant get to him. The dog that bayed 3 days is 1/2 running walker 1/2 cur dog. He ended up with a tendon in his foot cut and at 13 he can still smoke a hog. I had a coon dog not to long ago tree for 13 hours. Not to sound rude just sayin. Some people would or may lie about stuff like that but it gets you nowhere in life lieing and doesn't make your dogs any better. So why not tell the truth.
