Made a trip down just south of Eunice today. Are any of y'all from round that area. I have been down thru there to Crowley several times but this was the first time since I started hog hunting. It's funny how now when I go places I have been lots of times before I see things different than I have ever seen them.

About an hour southwest of there. Hayes. I think there is at least one on here from Jennings, about 20 west of Crowley, and Jug is prob about 45 east of Crowley.
They got some hogs over there just south of Eunice. Got a good many throughout that corridor between the interstate and 190, from Elton, on towards I 49. I have hunted over there several times. Them hogs run and run some more!! Should be in the rice , and milo in that area right now.

If they in the rice they better get ready to find a new home cause that rice is bout ready to cut and coming fast. I figured there were plenty of pigs round there. I like going down thru there it's like home with a different spin.

I Live about 20 min southwest of Crowley. I do work here in Crowley at the rice research station. We planted some sweet corn here at work and a guy trapped quite a few hogs a couple weeks ago.

i was born and raised in Welsh / Hayes area. transplanted in Arkansas for work in the oil/gas industrie 6 years ago. was different learning to run hog dogs in the hills up here, but do go down around Dumas and Mcghee when i get a chance.

I'm from the mcgehee south area of ar. I live near Monticello now. That's why I said that area down there reminds me of home but with a twist.

About 10-15 minutes depending on exactly where in mowater, iota, branch areas if you are going there they will be in the rice, they will be in the rice that isn't starting to dry out just before it turns yellow. Plenty in the area be ready to run!!!!!

I had to take a piece of equipment down there the other day. That's the only reason I was there. I don't know anyone there so I ain't going hunting. Just basically trying to put known areas with posters so I can visualize the areas stories come from. I am strange like that I guess. I have seen a lot of this country and a general idea of the way an area looks kinda make a story more real. I know what hunting rice fields and sloughs look like but some other areas are harder to imagine with limited knowledge of general conditions. It's kinda like if I said I went hunting in the hills. Folks round here would know the general setting but a man from San Antonio wouldn't.
Just a quirk. I wear out google earth.
