Pups have been dewormed at 2,4,5 weeks of age. Stayed on mom until she weined them on her own last week...around 5 ½ weeks old. Dewormed them yesterday and today they have diareah and look like shnit! 4 of  the 7 pups look OK...but the other 3 are half the size and skin and bone.... Oh , there was no worms in pen this morning

these would be my first to guesses as well......... he is in for an uphill battle BUT it is treatable and the pups CAN make it, i've lost some in the past but I have saved some as well.

I would take em to a vet Stacy.  I know you got a lot on this litter and to get them tested is gonna be fairly cheap and go from there with how you treat em.  Good luck.

If you take 1 pup and have it tested....alot of the country vets will give you meds for all the pups.

Get at it quick ...at that age they go down fast.

He wormed with Canine spectra 5 at 5 weeks old.

Canine Distemper, Adenovirus Type 2 (CAV-2 cross protection CAV-1), Parainfluenza and Parvovirus Vaccine (MLV)

in the vaccine.

My bet is Corona or Coccidia! Corona is gonna be a bitch at so young. Take a pup and a fecal sample to the vet.

Good luck

Sorry fellas. Been hard at it. I believe he was taking one pup to vet. Haven't talked to him since Wednesday. He used the strongid dewormer up until the day I posted he used the safe guard for goats which is the liquid form. Gave each pup 2cc. It sure works better than that Nemex. I'll talk with him today and see what he found out. Thanks for all the responses and all.

he may have vaccinated to young... the typical puppy vaccine series starts around 6-8 weeks of age. Boosters are administered every 2-4 weeks until around 16 weeks of age in hopes of narrowing the “window of opportunity” for infection. This window of opportunity is the time period between when the maternal antibodies wear off and the vaccines are able to stimulate the individual’s own immune response to a disease.  If a vaccine booster is given too soon, the body’s immune response to the first vaccine will interfere with the response to the second vaccine; thus, you do not get the desired “booster” effect from the second vaccine that makes the immune response stronger.

He also said he wormed them at 2,4,and 5 weeks old and weened them at 5 1/2 weeks.
If he wormed them at 4 and again at 5, that's too hard on them he should of kept on the 2 weeks apart
schedule. And then weening them the same week as giving them an overload of worm meds probably
stressed their systems to the point of nearly chitting themselves to death.

I was given a pup awhile back and he was poor looking as well...two good wormings and still poor ..vaccinated him and treated him for coccidiosis and after a week and a half he started filling out and growing like a weed...

Glad your pups are ok now...

Yeah they get it easy especially in a kennel. All they have to do is step in their mess and then their food/water bowl and they can get it.
