I maybe goin into a situation were I will have to keep my dogs at another location then were I live. I've always had my dogs with me. How many of y'all keep your dogs like this? Does it work well? I'm just worried about theft / not being socialized enough with me (pups) because I'll only see them once maybe twice a day. Thanks

I keep my dogs about a mile down the road from where I live. It's about 20 acres surrounded by woods so it's nice and secluded. It's gated and so far no unwanted visitors. I go once a day to tend to dogs . I never had a problem with socialization issues.

If you're worried about theft put you up a few hidden game cams and put a few signs around the dog yard stating you have cameras, under surveillance, something like that.

Do what ever you can to keep your dogs as close as possible.
1. You will worry about them more then ever if they are not at your house 2. nobody will take better care then you 3. Good people make bad decisions sometimes, and if you have a sure enough hog dog, he may be gone
I've never had a good experience in keeping my dogs somewhere else.
