In all seriousness....

Its risky business without the landowners permission and can cause issues for you and every other hog dogger. Better off TRYING to get permission first if its feasible.

Im not gonna lie...I've done it....then went back and found the land owner and talked to them after the fact. Sometimes works out in your favor...if not...just be ready to take your medicine.

Heck u shoulda went back to the game cam with a note apologizing. Then it woulda saved u the effort of finding a land owner and gone to show u wasn't there to steal.

I don't agree there. Arkansas isn't bad about prosecuting trespasser. The one guy I know of that got charged checked a game cam and delegated the pics. Only problem he missed the second cam. On another note I crossed onto another lease in MS once. The guys with me kept talking bout taking the card taking the cam all kind of stuff. On the way out we ran into the guy that owned the cam. How would that have been if we had done that stuff. The guy was fine with us and only asked if we killed the pig. Told us good luck and kill them all. I may get in trouble one day from these cams but I won't get in trouble for destroying property.

Mosaic is a big phosphate mining busness. Getting in touch with the owner is 100 % impossible

Then why would they care if you went and retrieved dogs and a pig? It's not like whoever checks the cam owns it

I look at jumping a fence as something done only as a last resort. I have gone to get dogs. I try to talk with al land owners to get a feel. Some ask you to kill it and leave. Some ask you to kill it it and take it. Some don't trust dog hunters and those I drop all my gear and go in with only dog leads. If I can't get with the land owner I treat them like they hate dog hunters. I do not touch anything on the property but my dogs. I might have to leg the hog to get the dogs but without permission I do not move that hog one inch from where it hits the ground. When all the dogs are on leads they are taken away from the hog so they don't see me let it go. You may get me on a cam walking or with dogs. But not with an animal or a weapon. I don't even take my knife.

You have to realize many land owners don't like dog hunters for good reason. Don't give them any more reasons to hate us.

Well, i domt know how everybody else does things, but in Brazoria county...

Cut the fence and drive the hundred yards to the dogs, kill the hog and make sure to get blood all over everywhere, make sure the headless hog carcass is left in an open area in plain view of where the landowners kids will be riding bikes the next day, find the owners deer stand and take a big dump under it, turn the catch dog loose to a couple trashy pups baying a calf from 300 yards where there's no possible way you know what they're baying OR get to your now cuaght pitbull in a timely manner, then, find some soft ground and turn the place into a mudding pit. Find the cameras and steal them. If there's crop, make sure to drive thru it in several places on your way to the fence and cut a new exit hole for yourself and haul butt out of there drunk and proud. Lol

Used to hunt the mosaic property growing up. Back then it was IMC mines before they sold to mosaic   No dogs allowed on any of there property any more. They have some guys that run traps on all of there property. Thousands and thousands of acres. Keep in mind that any of the phosphate companies absolutely hate hogs. They root up there gyp stacks and and burms which causes big problems for them with EPA. So technically they probably wouldn't b that upset with you for removing a hog and retrieving your dogs off there property. We do hog removal for another phosphate company here in central Florida so I know firsthand there outlook on this sort of thing. It's probably not as hard as you think to get ahold of someone. I would simply call there main office here in Florida and explain your situation. Let them know that you do "hog removal" (they love them words) on property adjoining there's. I would be really surprised if they wouldn't work with you and have no problem with you retrieving your dogs occasionally.

Ok here's my input.. If you get caught on mosaic property or ID'd from one of their game games your likely going to jail.  Everyone round here knows that!
