A man can never tell. That cracker dog may have got it done from bay 1 or he may had seen his last bay. All a man can do is run what u brung and hope it works. With them RCD a little warm can turn into to hot fast. I haven't dropped a dog in a few weeks because of the heat. Last thing I want is a caught hog at distance and too long to get to them. To much chance of overheating.

Y'all will get him next time.

Yup you just never know.  Its still awful hot here and with the little rain humid also .  These hogs that are breaking and running aint no little hogs these old boys been around awhile and they are plenty wise.  That old hog knew exactly what he was doing he knew were he was going and once he broke he never let up,  he was on the gas with dogs hanging onhis back end .  Pretty damn impressive if you ask me .  They had him bayed tight and right but when he hit the gas he ran right over one of those dogs if not all of them and never looked back are slowed down.  Plus it was in thick  thick Georgia cain that you could not even see your hand in front of your face and was we walking on top of broken cain that was intertwined on the bottom and 15 foot tall A number 2 house mouse would have a hard time trying to get threw that stuff .  That hog had a trail off the slew are I should say a tunnel cut threw the cain were he ran out ,  one way in and one way out . You aint gonna get them all and I don't mind posting getting my ass kicked I sho aint ashame of it that's for sure ,  matter of fact I was pretty dang proud of how my dogs worked his ass he just out ran us he didn't out tuff us .  His day will come just like the others !

Thats a darn shame Jimmy, well it should be cooling down soon in the next couple of months like you said then you can let your Fla Cracker hunt and hopefully him and his crew can get'em stopped for you. I really like your Cracker dog he is a fine looking dog. With the upcoming litters I'm sure you will get a couple real rough ones. When do your litters drop off of him?

I don't know  15/20 big hogs 225 lbs to 275 are better .  I had to stop hunting him once it got up in the upper 85 degrees area because of that heat exhaustion he had before I got him.  I noticed in the winter he was breathing heavier than he should then as it got hotter and hotter it become obivious something was not right and something must have happened before I got him and sure nuff when I started asking questions Brent found out and got the story on him.  The running of 225 lbs and bigger was shut down when he was in the pack.  We still got big hogs without him before and after I took him out but its a real pain in the ass to shut them down the ones that want to run.  Its the same way as my dogs use to be before I knocked some of the grit out of them he is just like them and the results are damn near the same .  Dogs like that will ruin a man because most the running will stop,  you gonna sew a lot more up but you aint gonna run yourself to death trying to stop them either so its give one thing for another .

T.

Everything that we hunt is creek bottoms, river bottoms, farm and ranch type land.  You know now that you mention that and Am thinking about it  hex I cant even remember the last time we got a big big sow maybe some littler ones but noting big nuff to talk about really here latly. Now we did get a big ole black bear sow here few months ago but mostly been all boar hogs this year now that you got me to thinking about it.

I think it was you that ask me the other day if he has found any hogs .  To tell you the truth I really don't know because he never barks I have never heard him bark except here on the yard when he is fixin to eat somebody up .  All I know is he hunts with the find dogs and am sure he has found some hogs I just don't know cause he don't bark but he is right there every time we have had him out so its just really hard to tell.  If a dog barks and he is out there you better put your go go shoes on and get there just turn the bulldogs loose and go .

Some we caught with Cracker no running .

Here is you a black beast sow.  I think Cracker was there on this one cant remember.

There is a lot more just to many pics to go threw .  But these are no little hogs and no running involved on any of these.

These were all caught this year .  There is about ten are so more hanging in the woods in trees just as big .  All these hogs were somewere between 240 lbs and 300 lbs .
I think that is were people misunderstand about the running,   these types of big boar hogs want to run buddy you better have some ear rings hanging on both sides soon as the strike is made are you gonna be going cross country for a while and once the running starts its damn near impossiable to stop these big rank ass boar hogs  .  The hogs am talking about running aint no Girl Scouts they are full grown men !
