Yes.  Best thing for an aggravating stud is a sharp knife.

Have  not tried the banding technique yet... heard of some complications.

Make sure you do your research before you attempt it, bleeding/infection can be an issue.

I would not do it unless you had the proper anesthesia to knock a dog out (talking more than ACE) and proper pain medication.

shave'em, disinfect EVERYTHING, make a cut in the scrotum, cut the little things out, then close the wound. Either use stitches or surgical glue.

Worm your dogs, trim their nails, doctor their minor wounds, but THERE ARE SOME THINGS A VET SHOULD DO........

As others have said, I would strongly recomend going to a vet to have that done rather than taking a risk whacking away on your own.

Fellow I know had to have one of his neutered not long ago due to health problems.  Think it costed him around 60 or 65 bucks all included.

If that is too much I know at least around here they have dicount clinnics (done by local vets) from time to time doing different things like vaccinations and sterilizations.  Usually have them in the paper and have several dates you can bring animals in.

Check your county newpaper, I know our county animal control has a grant from the state.  You can get a voucher from them and it only cost you $12 dollars to spay or neuter an animal here.

Taking my AB female in the morning. 100 bucks isnt much if you asked me,To each their own but I like to know a profesional is working with my dogs when Its something this major. I could see how it could get pricey having alot of dogs but im sure someone could find a resanable priced vet in there area.
