Have you ever hunted with a fella and his dog that was just full #2? At every turn it was his dog that done this or done that. And all you can do is wonder where the where were you when all that happened?

Outline of hunt... fella and his buddies kickout there dogs and we keep ours on leads. Walk about half mile in watching there dogs hunt maybe 20 yards in front of us. Guy asks y'all gonna turn yalls dogs loose. We say here in a few. Finally get to a spot and hang out for about 10mins... no action all there dogs just hanging around. I look at my ole ladies she has her thunder dog and then I look at buddy who has his bluetick bo... my cousin has my swag dog. My buddy asks if I'm ready to start the party. I said sure. We turn loose and our 3 potlickers shoot out!!! 200 yards hound opens once and we look back down at the garmin dogs are 5 7 800 yards and squeeling! Right off fella hollers yella found a hog! Ok we got a caught hog not sure who done what... rest of the day was off to the races. Everytime dogs would hammer yella got em again. Well bud yella was always beside us or right in front of us. At one time yella was hammered at the 4 wheeler where he was chained up! He had a whole wad of hogs bayed by himself. There was a lot more to this hunt just a vent I guess...

Nobody forces you to hunt with people like that...  Grin

I'd rather hunt solo than with someone I don't like...
And I hunt solo quiet a bit...

Big Chris....never hunted with somebody in those circumstances, but I could imagine.  I chuckled when I read your story.  Nothing amazes me anymore.

Yep, quite a few times... usually the first hunt is the last.

That explains why you always say we need to get together and hunt...  Kiss  Evil

I know a few guys like that its not that they are lieing it's just they want you to beleave what they are saying cuz they really know what is going on. Talk is cheap so I don't pay it no mind match up all garmin then just look at the map it always tells the truth. Had a guy say hey look my dog is on a pig he is 300 out I said ok  I didn't say anything looked at mine he was 700 showed treed and I said well you go to him I will go to mine the jest of the story is every one wants to be glorifid I don't care what dog finds what lets have a good time

Yea, life is too short to spend time with douch bags. I'd rather have a dry run with someone you enjoy being around than catching a bunch with someone that's hard to take.

I think I hunted with the same guy Chris. His dog always found em and always stopped em. His dogs were the best ever. They never trash on deer never. If they barked they were looking at a pig. Don't mind them deer we saw them behind a few minutes ago. The deer were running on a hog trail. Didn't matter if a chop mouth bawl mouth or squealy mouth dog opens it was his same dog. Always the first to grab his dog and jump on the caught hog and holler take a pic. A few hours later u read the story on FB of what a great job his dog did all by itself. By the way u weren't there u just thought u was. Just look the pics prove it.

I had rather go hunting with people I like to be around and just have a good time and not even catch a hog than I have go with some liar about a dog or have to hear bragging about a dog, it just makes for a boring hunt listening some cocky guy. But I like for my dog to do better sometimes so I can pick all in fun with who I'm hunting with. One thing about dogs if you brag on them they will make you look like a idiot and one day you can have the best pack around and in 10 minutes you can be wiped out

I like going with the guys that have caught trophy hogs and when the dogs catch they are scared to death to grab the hog. This is why I have started only hunting with my kids

We got on a good hog cpl of the guys even seen the hog shagging a$$ out of the creek on a hunt before this one. Hog had his ears ripped off. Ole fella started talking about how yella found the hog. I asked him how you gonna sit there and say he found him with 6 dogs on the ground. He says what I mean is yella found him the 2nd time when he got away. So yella found him again and the hog got away? My swag dog was the only dog bleeding and I had to sit there and hear that crap! And shot

And shotgun I've hunted with a fella like that except he tried sayen my dog was chasen deer and opening up on them. Bout that time my dog came blowing in to check his dog and ran right past us. He came running right back with his tail tucked and head hung low... I'm sure we have all hunted with some sure nuff full of it idiots!

Bo Pugh my buddy that I hunt with tells a story of a boy that begged and begged to go hunting with him and bragged about how bad his dogs were and catch anything.  The ride to the hunt was hour and half and my buddy says he had to hear it all the way there, my dogs will catch and hold any size hog, on and on.  What this guy didn't know was there was a boar in this area that was used to train dogs with when he was a pig and he hated dogs.  In fact, if he heard dogs baying the boar would come to the bay, done it more than a time of two.  So they get there, my buddy finds his track and tells this new boy, that's a good boar, let's see what they will do, he turns them out and in less than 30 minutes, he has 4 dead dogs.  My buddy said he didn't say a word all the way home and never asked to go with him again.  Hate it for the dogs but don't let your mouth overload your rear or your dog's rear.

ive been on a hunt or two like that, I always find it amusing. I especially like it when the dogs are baying there butts off then you walk into the bay and  you see a really nice doe standing there or a good buck, then it never fails you get the line, well there must have been a hog here cause my dogs don't trash lol. good time good times.

A buddy of mine called me to go hunt his buddy's spot a few weeks ago. We travel an hour and a half and beat the guy who has the spot that lives 15 minutes away to the spot by 25 minutes.
Dude shows up and unloads his bulldog. This is the only dogs the guy brings.
As soon as the tailgate drops (dog isn't even out of the box) hr starts telling us how the dog is the best catch dog ever. He had caught 235 hogs with this bulldog. He can find, run, and catch his own hog. Blah Blah Blah. I hadn't even shaken his hand yet.
He also kept talking about the pit/cur crosses that his sole cur dog was carrying at the time. He KEPT saying they are going to be the best running strike dogs around with no bay all catch. I never bothered to ask if he meant to say running catch dog.
The funny part is she was supposed to be at home all swollen and bagged up, but she's only 2 weeks pregnant.
Let's just say we had a VERY long hunt.

He was going on and on about that bulldog running a track.   My 2 pot lickers ran a hog right past us. He unleashed the bulldog where they crossed. His dog went about 100 yards and came back.
Then he starts on about how the bulldog will come back and you don't have to run him down.

I've never had that bad of a situation but I've hunted with people I didn't want to hunt with again... That's why we usually don't hunt with any body else.
