I say when the moderators start getting paid salary for doing the job they do then maybe it will time for them to become a JUDGE, and the Jury to persecute someone over a classified ad, that you have the same dealings e-bay, craiglist or any other internet classified advertising - This is FRee & hog hunter Friendly! Thats why its "buyer beware", and appreciate that there is a place to list or find stuff that hog dog hunters use and need.
As Far as the guy that steals dogs, that is a matter for LAW ENFORCEMENT, once convicted it is not slander, but proven conviction, ETHD is not the internet police. I see you have a couple of choices, get a lawyer and file civil suit, Get law enforcement involved and make him a public criminal, or just kick his A$$, but for the ETHD MB to assume responsibilty for any actions is not an option.
We all got PM options to use, and business of other sorts can be taken care of from that angle.

Being honest and giving a fair trial period along with references is what I would look for in buying a "finished dog". Had a friend a few months ago that had raised a dog out of proven lines that he had high hopes for from a puppy....dog didn't turn into what he expected....in his opinion was too gritty and on the verge of a RCD. Was honest in describing the dog and made a sale......Turned out to be the new owner's pride-n-joy and fits him to a T. Kinda falls into the "one mans trash is another man's treasure" category.
Bottom line: honest description of the dog goes a LONG way when looking for a new owner to match......All my dogs are started from puppies but I always ask myself, "Why would a serious hog hunter be selling a finished TOP DOG?" I know there are times that $$$ or space is needed but some of these "SUPER DOG" ads make me wonder......WAY too many of them.....

I never had any idea up here in my little corner of Texas that there was people who had kennels ful of # 1 strike dogs. Heck maybe i've never seen a good dog or maybe my standards are higher than some peoples.

How true it is! Ive been on both sides of this statement! Hey! When the moderators start getting paid on this site let me know! I would come real cheap for ETHD! LOL I think you guys do a great job on here even if you do claim to have junkie hog dogs!

i like the clean , freindly, enviroment we are in now.. , thanks to the moderaters for keeping it that way..
i have seen other sites run into the ground by letting people slam each other around, and trash each other..
their are alot of legal issues ,that come along with owning and maintaining a website that alot of us dont even think about..
like others have said just PM anyone you think might need some freindly advice..

That's one of the main reasons this site was created and a road we never plan to go down.

It would be nice to have something like ebay does to where it rates a seller on a percentage basis of successful sales. With that said it would take both parties to work our any things that did not pan out the way the buyer was told. Anyone selling a finished dog should make sure the buyer is happy with the dog within a resonable amount of time. All of us would like to know who the guys are that sell dogs that say one thing then disconnect their phone lines as soon as the purchase is made. The moderators could monitor what was said about the buyer if any neg comments where made. You can get the point across without slandering someone. Its all in the choice of words that are used.
