If you want a good one it depends on your bank. Going cheap will not get you a good Dogo. For a hunting Dogo the price comes down but the person paid good money for their Dogos so why would they sell them cheap? If you can't afford it get another breed of dog.

Its just hard  for me to justify paying what majority of people ask for them . Not saying they aren't worth it I guess the way you  put it they are to rich for my  blood I'll just stick with my mutts.

Have you ever saw a good one catch or seen one hunt?

personally I think the Internet hypes up quite a few breeds of dogs, including the dogo.  I wouldn't even consider buying one unless I've watched one or two work or did a helluva lot of research and if you got to doing that, then the question you asked would actually answer itself.

Same as hog dogs now, they're popular and everyone owns a good one when they get in front of a keyboard.

I'm not trying to sway you one way or another, just some advice that I learned the hard way on hog dogs.  I'd use any dog that gets the job done consistently, for me though a smaller framed put bull with some brains fits the bills, but this type of dog is fast becoming extinct to.  It's hard to find a good bulldog with half a brain anymore.

Go hunt with some and see if you even like them. There are many that would not take one free. I personally like the way they hunt. But there ain't nothing that hits like a Pit. Now many people pay too much for a Dogo and sell pups from Dogos that should have been culled just because they paid more money than they could afford. So do not just go buy a Dogo pup because there is trash for sale. They are a dog that requires more attention than other dogs but I like the personality of the Dogo. I love when a Dogo gets a hold of a pig and just takes control like it is nothing. But not all Dogos do that. Any Dogo I paid for I could take back and get another puppy if it did not work out.

But like many people do not even like the Dogo nobody can say a Pit don't catch. You can take a stray Pit from the pound and it will catch. To me if money is an issue get a Pit and you will not be disapointed. My wife laid down the law and said no Pits at our house or I would have a couple. A Dogo is not for everyone so don't just go get one because of crap you read. Just like we don't all like the same women we don't have to like the same dogs. We just all want the same thing in the middle of the night Grin So get it how you like it not what someone else said was the best.

Peachcreek has a litter of american bulldogs right now, I have no idea if he is selling them or not BUT I do know that they work and work well as cd's and are pretty laid back as well.

Dogo's are great catch dogs.... They also have more stamina than any catch dog breeds... They also have great nose's.... I have two dogo's and one pogo.... I hunt with a buddy that has an am bulldog that is quicker than my dogo and he has an amazing bite, but he lacks stamina.... Same goes for another guy I hunt with has a 1/2 boxer 1/2 pit great speed and bite, but not great stamina.... As for the dogo he is huge has trouble getting threw fences little slower than the average pit but has great stamina and great bite....but just use what works for you

In my opinion, those CD pups on that link to Peachcrek are as bout as good as it gets. It's all gonna be up to u and the style of CD u would like to have. I'm a 75-85 pound type CD guy, AB's are at the top of my list...under that----a BIG bat eared pit, JMO
