 I used to live between Lufkin and Nacogdoches and I have seen 1 and heard a pair of panthers screaming about 10yrs ago on our 20ac. they are around, just not a common sighting yet.

They do exsist an all you skeptics need to research it before makin fun of us that have seen or heard them.late 60s early 70s they were trapped in new mexico an arizona an released n national forest in texas yes easttexas.

I seen one in jan. This past year in old ocean . Walked up to the tree were it was trying to figure out what I was looking at . I even looked in my scope I couldn't mske it out then it turn its head then I knew it was a cat  it had turned cause there were two coyotes coming at me so I shot one. As soon as I shot it ran out of the tree freaked me out it was at least knee high but I rember it having short legs . I looked it up when I got home I think it was a jagarundi if that's how u spell it
