I went to pick up shots today and reading the sign it said 5-1 for 6 week old pups.  I planned on getting the 7 or 8-1(if I could find them).

What do you guys give the 6 week old pups and is it ok to start with the 7-1?

Any of you Florida guys know where to find the 8-1?

Its been about a year since I had a pup, but if memory serves me correctly I gave pups 7-1 shots at 6 weeks old.  I follow the direction EXACTLY as they are written on the package and I keep the UPC label and lot number of the shots for a while.

X2, iv given the 7-1 shot to 6wk old pups and have not had an issue yet, but I don't give the full shot, I only give about 3/4 of the shot.

I run two fives and then a 7 then if available and I still have them the 8 if not the 8 they usually don't get no more than three with me . at around a year i'll look for an 8 again and if they don't have it i'll give them another 7 as a booster .

I give one 8 in 1 at 8 weeks...been lucky that I haven't had a run in with the new strains of Parvo...but I don't waste my time with the 7 in 1 unless I can't get an 8 in 1...then the 7 in 1 will do until I can get the 8 in 1...
