I know its done but don't see a 30# and under dog holding a good hog by its self I run 2 catch dogs 65-70 seen them get tossed around I have a dog 30# will catch anything but she just like a ear ring
All depends on the dog. Most of my catch dogs are small. Biggest one I had was 55-60 and we didn't use him much since he was retired. Now the biggest I run weighs about 40-45 lbs and she holds almost every hog weve been on. Theres been a few times where I thought "man I need a big catch dog" but more times than that it was caught hog.
