What are your experiences with both? Good or bad and what is the success rate?

I have made the father daughter cross with very good results. I only had 3 pups but the male dog was 12 years old & his litters had been decreasing.
Anyway, I would say if both dogs are what you like, then I would go for it. Like any line or inbreeding it will concentrate the good as well as the bad characteristics so make sure both dogs have as few flaws as possible.

one of the best litters I raised the father was also the grandfather and the great great grandfather...but your question is hard to answer because it depends on the quality of all the dogs in the first 3 generations...I also have noticed that the pups out of a great dog when bred to a kemmer gyp from another strain the pups were decent hunting dogs but on the next generation some had more of the traits of the grandfather...but the pups out of the grandfather were related so there are other variables to consider and no solid answers as to why the pups turned out like they did...

but on the inbreeding and line breeding there are some logical explanations as to why the pups have a high probability of turning out like the parents and grandparents and even further back in the pedigree...the chance of the offspring being more like their heritage is high...good hunting dogs begets more good hunting dogs...

Training dogs is not about quantity, it's more about timing, the right situations, and proper guidance...After that it's up to the dog...
