The plotts in the picture belong to Mike Cauley.  Between Mike, myself, and Andy, we had about 6-8 more dogs not in the picture that were busy running another hog while we were busy catching this one.

Nice looking dogs Mike! Can only imagine the sound in those woods that day with 8-10 Plotts on the ground at once!!

All the dogs running were packed up real tight and sounding good.  It was music to your ears...if you like that stuff.  I know I enjoyed it.  I wanted to get more pics of dogs, but as soon as they were turned out they were running hard.  We saw them cross the road a couple times chasing hogs, but I was not fast enough with my iphone to take good pics.

We did have one other hog stopped for a while.  A single dog had him bayed for a good while.  While we tried easying in with the bulldog, the hog broke so we sent some more hounds to run them again.  Soon after we intercepted the dogs crossing a road and loaded them up as it was about 2:30 pm already.

Taz, this place gets a lot of pressure & they are running hogs. Right now it is so thick, the dogs cannot open up & run. Mostly we were just running young dogs trying to get them in shape. That big headed plot in the middle is the sire to the pups I have now. He is a running catchdog. The hog broke when Jon turned his dogo in & I turned in a couple of plotts & they caught him in about 300 yards.

Mike he sounds like a good representation of your line of dogs!! I know all about running hogs that live the thick stuff!!! I cannot see what my dogs are catching till you are right on top of them. Shot some video the other day and all you saw on the video was bushes and vines till I reached down and grabbed a leg. Had to stomp down the brush just to throw it and get a pic!! Good hunt and I will call you soon.
