Alright guys I don't know exact and whole story but for those of you that know sneaky creek kennels on hear is one of my very best friends and hog hunting meant more to him than anything In this world! Well this last hitch he was home from they were hunting Saturday morning in San Saba tx and his best dog he raised from
 A pup was shot down by a trigger happy deer hunter! The deer hunter said he feared for his life but the dog was shot in the side and the bullets exiting the chest area! It was a bad deal Harley wantede
To post this for him! So yal watch out for them dumb ass city slickers!

Sorry to hear that...heres the law against shooting dogs, yes even strays.

Sec. 42.092. CRUELTY TO NONLIVESTOCK ANIMALS. (a) In this section:(1) "Abandon" includes abandoning an animal in the person's custody without making reasonable arrangements for assumption of custody by another person.(2) "Animal" means a domesticated living creature, including any stray or feral cat or dog, and a wild living creature previously captured. The term does not include an uncaptured wild living creature or a livestock animal.(3) "Cruel manner" includes a manner that causes or permits unjustified or unwarranted pain or suffering.(4) "Custody" includes responsibility for the health, safety, and welfare of an animal subject to the person's care and control, regardless of ownership of the animal.(5) "Depredation" has the meaning assigned by Section 71.001, Parks and Wildlife Code.(6) "Livestock animal" has the meaning assigned by Section 42.09.(7) "Necessary food, water, care, or shelter" includes food, water, care, or shelter provided to the extent required to maintain the animal in a state of good health.(Cool "Torture" includes any act that causes unjustifiable pain or suffering.(b) A person commits an offense if the person intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly:(1) tortures an animal or in a cruel manner kills or causes serious bodily injury to an animal;(2) without the owner's effective consent, kills, administers poison to, or causes serious bodily injury to an animal;(3) fails unreasonably to provide necessary food, water, care, or shelter for an animal in the person's custody;(4) abandons unreasonably an animal in the person's custody;(5) transports or confines an animal in a cruel manner;(6) without the owner's effective consent, causes bodily injury to an animal;(7) causes one animal to fight with another animal, if either animal is not a dog;(Cool uses a live animal as a lure in dog race training or in dog coursing on a racetrack;

Hate to hear that.  I believe I was the breeder of Skud.  I know there was a male puppy in that litter that I called Skud.  If its the same one, he would have been out of my Rip dog and a Parker Cur named Sassy.  Rip was an old school East Texas Blackmouth, (Jude Hart breeding) a real hogdog.

You and me too. I deer hunt every chance I get but as I've gotten more and more into hoggin I have gotten out of my treestand and caught two dogs that a fella on the back side of our property owned and hunted with. Just a crappy deal. I'd be madder than hell.

sry to hear he was shot by an a-hole city slicker. that felt threatened excuse is a crock of poo. I guess that excuse could have been used to justifu shooting the shooter, since he had a gun, I woulda felt threatened. there wouldn't be 1 side of the story, and that's the side of the living. I hope there is something that can be done to hammer the shooter's hide to the wall.
