Just a heads up. As of this morning I have heard of 32 dogs across the US that have died or are critically sick with kidney failure. Coincidence or not, all 32 dogs were being fed Diamond Hi Energy. Like I said, they are dogs all in different places. Not in the same home/kennel. I don't know if it is a certain batch that went out or what. I personally don't feed Diamond but I just thought I'd give the heads up.

That's crazy I just got a couple of pups from a guy and that's what he fed them, and all day today they were eating grass I put food out but they just ate grass all day long I wonder is it because of them eating that. ive only had them a couple of days could still be in their systems.

Hmmm... Not a regular diamond feeder anymore but I'll feed a bag or hi-energy or extreme athlete from time to time. Hmmmm

GAhunter, just curious, where did you get this info?

From bulldog breeder friends. They contacted Diamond after their dog passed and Diamond vets and reps wrote it off saying it was probably just a bulldog issue and not Diamond because a lot of the incidents have been bulldogs.

That must have been the person I know but they told her it must be a breed problem. She posted it all over message boards and Facebook. Then I heard from her that a total of 32 dogs had been affected. I don't know. Like I said, I don't feed it but I've read a lot of guys here post that they do. Just wanted to pass on some info so folks could keep an eye out. Hopefully it is not a widespread problem.

GAhunter...the good thing about facebook and message boards is that the news travels fast and far and these companies know that so it has to make them stay on top of their game if they want to stay in business...

My dogs look pretty good on Diamond high energy but sometimes the dogs will be grazing on grass like they are cattle...and sometimes the stool has a greenish tint to it...I fed sportsmix for many years before the price got outrageous around here and one thing I can say about it is that it was always a consistent product...
