I had a dog get sprayed 2 weeks in a row one time and if you leave your gear hanging outside for a couple weeks it will go away..

I don't know where ur located but if u can find a cotton field or gin get some cotton out of a module or off the ground. Take it home and set it on fire and put ur dogs and gear in the smoke. We always used this when I was younger and my dad trapped to get skunk smell off hands and traps.

Not sure I want to post this but here we go. A quail hunter told me that his bird dog runs loose and catches lots of skunks. He said they wash the dog with summers eve and then give her a bath. He swears the smell of skunk is gone. Not sure about this one but he swears by it. So try it and come on with the jokes.

I had a pup get sprayed by a skunk about 3 weeks ago and the tracking collar still smells of skunk. Any ideas on getting it off of the tracking collar?

Here's a couple of questions...when a skunk sprays, what is it spraying? The stinky stuff is oil based...what removes oil and grease when you're working on a vehicle? You think that stuff may work? ??

I used power purple degreaser and fast orange and it didn't get it off the vest and collar it reduced the smell, but it was still there and still to strong to bring it inside so just let the sun do the work and it took a couple weeks before I could bring the collar inside to charge, but it stunk for several months.

Why should I trade one tyrant three thousand miles away for three thousand tyrants one mile away? An elected legislature can trample a man's rights as easily as a king can!

nothing is going to get rid of it completely. If somebody knows for sure that something works better than the fast orange...put it out there. I have owned more than one skunk killing potlicker I haven't found anything that works better than the fast orange...

Back in the day we bathed them with peroxide and bakin soda mix and poured it right on dont get them wet u can add some dawn to it and it does fizz when mixed and rub it in and let it sit and do it over and over especially if its real strong but it will help the gear but better to just wash it and air it out.
