Pretty broad statement...your definition of a hog dog might not be the same as mine.

I had an an instructor in in martial arts tell me something that I will never forget. Its not the art that makes the fighter its the fighter that makes the art. I made a living back in the 80's doing this for a living and totally agree. Its not the hunting breed its whatever dog or time you put into him or her!!

Good point I didn't think about it that way. I understand that a dog is only as good as you make him but I wanna know whose got the best loose baying,  roughest, short range and long range

Thanks,

There are some really good lines out there even with in loose or rough it can very a lot every one has there fav and every one will say what they run or there buddy's is the best. But it's really just the dog it's self and what you are willing to put into it and what you will except or not except. For me a good start is if they will load up ha ha

No disrespect just a piece of advice.....

Put the "best" blood in the hands of someone who is....well...let's just say, not the most educated dog handler, and you can ruin a dog real quick.

If you haven't figured out for yourself what kind of dog might suite you before you start asking about lines then your already started in the wrong direction. Back up a few steps and put some thought into the situation.

Best bloodlines in what breed? That would definitely vary depending on who you ask. Dogs can only showcase themselves to their fullest potential when they are in the hands of someone who gives them that opportunity. The best dog is the dog that works for you exactly how you want them to, adhering to your personal style of hunting.

i think what he means is more along the lines of "who has a reputation for producing consistant good quality hog dogs and what are the bloodlines that made these dogs what they are."
