This dog was on the list to be euthanized at the collin county shelter today> his time was up. He has a couple of minor wounds that could be hog related. If you know anything about it please contact me. i am going to take him and give him a chance, but if you own him and you can prove it i will let you have him back. I have never taken a dog out of our shelter but there is something about this dog. he looks timid in the pics but is very outgoing.   |

That is good thing you did there muleman. Never hurts to give one a second chance on things. Hate to see any good dog go out like that, I hope he works out for you. I went to animal once in my life with sister about 7 or 8 years ago and man that was tough, there were several dogs there that I wanted to bring home.

We dont get too many dogs through our shelter that look like hog dogs. this dog looks the part. over the years i have gotten pretty calloused to all of the faces in the shelter. But every once in a while....I have to step in.

D, is he a catahoula? kinda blue and brown leapord color? does he have a few battle wounds on him? does he seem a little timid at first but is really outgoing? IF HE IS ANY GOOD HE BELONGS TO ME!......LOL

muleman thats a good thing you did there. i have done the same thing you did one time with a catahoula. and i will say she wasnt a strike dog but was a really good help dog and would run with any strike dog that you hunted her with. i do that all the time with pits at the pound.

Got him home today. He acts good so far. no dog aggression so far. Now I gotta come up with a name for him.Anyone have a suggestion?? Might name him John Coffee (JC) since I literally got him as he was "walking the green mile" to the EU room. He has two decent punctures to his front shoulder and one to his arse. also some minor cuts around his neck and just under his ear.   |

How about Kevin. Not sure why but I have always wanted a dog named Kevin. I just know that when people ask what my dogs name is and I say Kevin they will be like WTF!....Kevin?....yup Kevin.
