Matt,

It looks like Kailey claimed ol Red as her horse.

Here she is giving pony rides to Richards daughter.

And here is the Jeep I told you about.

That Jeep is pretty sick!!  That WARN front replacement is NICE and the overall look is clean with a "don't get in my way" ness about it haha.  Ol red looks like he is getting it all figured out nicely.  Wet saddle pads, that is what my horse is needing too.

Kailey rode cooper this morning and mentioned that she liked riding him better. He's more responsive to her legs and she is able to ride him without me having to be in front of him as "bait".  I've brought coop back home to get him schooled up to sell him, so I guess I'm riding two. My tack doesn't even make it into the tackroom. I'm riding so much I just have it on two stands outside the stalls. Its been a little hard on me going from retirement to sure enough schooling every day. My legs are hating me, but I have to believe I'm burning calories.

Cheers

Matt,

Here's the other new one... I was not able to get any good riding pictures of him, just a few when she was taking the edge off.

"Blue"

"Blue's papers"

"Red"

"Cooper"

Sorry Matt.... After having to ride "pretty" for years to make a living, I'm really liking that ugly son of a gun. You can't really tell in that photo of him, but that was a decent stop - camera hit at just the wrong time. It's hard to get a photo of a stop on a horse that doesn't give you a 20 foot slide to shoot. But he is stopping on his rear. He's not built to be a pleasure horse, but I bet he'd give a ranch pleasure class a run for their money. He is way steady, stays in the bridle, and uses himself well. I think he might be my kind of ranch gelding - one I can play with "my style" as well. He's not yet worn the English tack, but I'm sure he won't mind when the time comes.  Grin

Cooper will make a horse, just needs me (or whoever) to be consistent about riding him. He sure tries hard, and I can't gripe about a bobble in performance when he hasn't been ridden but once in six months. He's officially back in boot camp.

Cheers
