Pups are 6 days old now. 5 boys and 1 girl.......BB is doing great as a momma dog. My anxiety is at ease now that  they are here!

We got em in the house now. It's supposed to hit a record breakin 3 degrees in the mornin, plus 4" of snow don't help. I have a heater in the old converted chicken coop, but it's stayin 45-50 degrees in there with it on high. I got some electric work to do to make sure the heater gets enough juice to keep it powered and produce a constant 70 degree room.

Good looking pups. Let's see, considering the weather, Snowball, Snowy, snowstorm, Ice, Artic blast, Blzzard would all fit for names in this weather.

Thanks y'all , good stuff! Names are definitely on target for winter weather, lol.
Yep Scott, I'm pretty sure you are right. Time will tell. It's a deal I'm pretty excited about.

The big pup should be Mr. Freeze.

I think I'd name him "Polar" for Polar Bear.  He is a big ol pup and it sure is cold enough.

Hopefully she raises them all for you!

What kind of catch dogs are they in the woods?  Do they handle real easy in the box and after being broke off a caught hog?

Good suggestions on names, I'm sure that will come with ease.

On the whole working deal, I don't have any bragging rights to claim them as proven catch dogs-unfortunately. I have done my homework and will say they have the blood that's a setup for success. There are 2 males and 1 female that are lookin like they will carry the big bone mass. I'm thinking they will go to non working homes that I have picked out so I can keep an eye on em. There are 3 males that look like they will be good prospects to condition them for working, in which I will keep 1 and place the other  2 in working homes. It's all a part of a process that takes time.

As far as how Macho(100-110 pounds)and BB(50-60 pounds) are as CD's:
I've put Macho on em in a bay pen. He's a beast. Almost overkill. There's no doubt he's got heart to work and hold on for life. That's half the reason I chose him. The other half, he's my yard dog going on 7 yrs and I want a pup out of him severely! I started my pack 2 years ago and he wasn't raised/conditioned to work. He could handle a few miles of walk huntin in the cold, but after that he just slows me down, in return making me irritated! He's got the bone mass BB's needing to get back in her pedigree, which is why I got her specifically for this reason about 8 months ago.

She's bred to work/perform as a CD should be from what I understand. I have never used her as a CD since I got her to breed this litter. She's gettin spayed after this and I will pair her up with another bulldog to be my catchin duo!  I wished I could label them as "proven" but it'd pretty much be based on bay pen time, not woods time. This is the beginning of something I hope to label as proven here in about 4 or 5 years. I'm a patient guy. I'm definitely not an expert. I'm just getting started in something I enjoy more and more each day and look to learn more as every day passes.

Also, I'm hoping those 3 smaller ones average out at bout 75 pounds.....well-that's the size I'm wanting any how.

Pretty honest about your dogs, if you stay that way the cream will rise to the top.

Took some pics this past weekend.

The pups are 4 weeks now. Not too sure how to judge what their sizes will be. There are 2 large,  2 medium, and 2 small.....it's gonna be interesting since Macho is 110 and BB is 60......

Here's BB. Finally got her to sit still while having a staring contest with a cat.
