Well, the ol' man picked up another Jagd for his pack over the weekend. I know these guys can vary in weight/size, but this sucker right here is BIG for a Jagd! His little female is half his size. He's in the 30 lb range easy. He's been hunted on hogs already, and he is a finished blood trail dog, his prior owner put him through professional training for it. Letting him get used to us, and then we'll get to see what he's all about in the field. I think he's calling him Shelby after Shelby Stanga (lol).

Do you know the breeding. My buddy Dennis Lail bred Jagds for over 30yrs and was one of the first men to have them here in the US. His dogs were big like the one you have there. Very nice looking dog. Good luck with him.

Not 100% sure on who bred him at the moment, but he has to be a darn good dog to be getting fed on our buddy's yard I know that much. If I get specifics, I'll let you know though. I'm curious myself.

I thought so from the size and build. He bred some of the best Jagds I have seen. He had some stories of his dogs going to ground and killing coyotes, bobcats, badgers, etc!! They were miniature pit bulls!! Good luck with him!

Having the dogs that we have tends to happen when people see that we're honest genuine dog people that take very good care of, and do right by our dogs and do our best to work them to their fullest potential. Been a long time since I paid straight up cash for the purchase of a dog (with exception of transport fees.)  Wink
