I like to name them for expectations: Magic (was a female) as in work some magic, Briar was another one. Reat has one named Boo and another named Country, both good names I think.

An older guy I hunt with has an old male named Paleface, others named Tonto, Clansy, Pearl, Belle, Fancy, Cash, Goose, and Duece. Bar M on here had an old dog named Tango I thought that was a cool name

My buddy and I bred a litter of bmcs recently. Of the three I kept, one male  has double rear dew claws so he got named Sixx. Another male is always the first one up and barking in the morning so he got the name rooster. And the one female I kept hasn't earned a name yet so she is still going by "girl"  and I think the name might stick. I'll usually come up with a good name to fit the dogs personality, but even at 8mos nothing has struck me for a good name for girl.

But even with my older dogs, its amazing how well they respond to damnit, $hithead, effin, dumba$$, even though that's not their names. It seems like they have heard it a time or two and usually listen when called those names. LOL!!
