im in california and it is sadder than most of you think.i went to 4 hearings on the bear and bobcat hoiund deal year befoe last in sacramento. those democrats had no desire to even listen to any facts or number of folks who wanted it to remain legal or financial burden or anyhting. this was 100 percent sponsored by the hsus and their leader from washington dc got up in the hearings and said it didnt matter if we got it defeated, as if we did they would be back with it the next year on the ballot and we would loose in a lanslide. and he was right. as for the lad ban weve had it here where i live and hunt for five yrs plus due to the condor zone. but now it will be state wide and cover every bird and animal hunted. i remember oregon fell so fast on bear dogs that folks were just in shock. heck i remember when you could see a leagl cockpit from i 5 in oregon and now its a felony intent state. and just ask the rooster folks how they will never take away part of their heritage. do you know in california havin a large number of apbt looking dogs is prima facia evidence to get a search warrant for dog fighting? i hate to say it but texas isnt safe on dog hunting. and several yrs back when they cracked down on the catch dog competitions i was on a cnn report on dog fighting right after michael vick.they didnt bother to state that i was doing a completely legal activity at the time though. all this is also a reason i get bad when i see folks that are dog hunters say how bad the heli hunters are. we are all in the same boat and its sinkin fast and some here on this board will see some states all but abolish hunting . ok off my soap box, gary

yep kid7 you keep on a thinking that !! I'm old and I will still live to see hound hunting a thing of the past before I die . I do so very much hope all of you young hunters are registered voters because the anti hunting is pretty much a democrat thing and if ya'll don't vote and you let a bunch of democrats take control in the texas legislative process and it will all be over quicker than you think .
this is 2014 folks , one of the most important voting years we have had in a long , long time , choose your candidates wisely .
wish I can say my vote counts...but at the moment I feel It does not and hadn't for sometime now..untill I own a few politicians anyway fixitlouie via tapatalk via droid

Agreed lou. Until the poor man can afford to buy the politicians, we will continue to take it from behind untill we remove them 1 way or another. They can outlaw all the hunting they want, but its the poor wardens n other leos that will have to enforce the laws n pay the ultimate sacrafice for a bunch bunny humping id10ts forcing their unjust views.

Hey Gary how ya doing. I agree with you, when he escaped from prison he was actually caught not too far from where I live. First it will be dogs, then hunting, then guns all together. What happened to the individuals rights. Sad sad time!

If those wardens and leo's have "chosen" to enforce those unjust rules, then they have already "chosen" their side. ;)Piss on them and anyone else who tries to take away my way of life.

The side they have chosen is "law enforcement". They don't make the laws. They choose to enforce them. Merely enforcing a law does NOT make them an enemy or bad. I suspect many of the laws you think they should enforce are laws that others think they shouldn't.

Rl, ur about as close minded as the government. ur reading more into what i wrote than there are words there. Laws and enforcers are required for a somewhat civilized society. Game laws are deffinately required to ensure plentifull game for future generations, to harvest and to just look at, but outlawing hunting all together will do more harm than good, for animal and people. Some folks live off the land, harvest the animals to help feed their families, as my dad did for us some 20+yrs ago, and when food is taken from the mouths of those families, the enforcers of the laws, who choose whether to enforce or abide by a paticular law will pay the price, not the politicians or the idiots who wanted the law in place. Do i agree with ALL laws passed, NO, nor do u or anybody else out there, some laws are required, some are a waist of paper they written on and a waist of time for the law makers that could have put that time to use elsewhere, and a waist of time for the leos to enforce, when more urgent and dire crimes are being commited. The leos are the unlucky pawns in a kings army, sent out on the front line to battle/enforce laws that that paticula leo may not believe in, but he has to put food on the table for his family, and if by doing so of enforcing a law, it takes food off the table of families, then he mite need to look at another career choice or petition his boss with the help of the citizens, who can then take it to the state law makers and try and amend or remove the law all together.

Interesting story, i just ordered the book "give a boy a gun" off amazon, its supposed to be the whole story about claude dallas from what i understand. Thanks for postin that, i had never heard of him until now. Long story short he was living off the land trapping/hunting when 2 gws strolled into his camp that was full of poached hides, 1 gw went into claudes tent, while he was in the tent claude and the gw that remained outside had an altercation resulting in claude shooting the gw with his .357, when the other gw came out of the tent claude shot him as well, shortly after claude retrieved his .22 lr rifle and shot both men execution style then dumped ones body in a river and hid the others body in a coyote den. He was arrested but then broke out of prison only to be caught a while later. He was charged with voluntary manslaughter and sentenced to 30years, released from prison early due to good behavior in 2005 after serving 22 of the 30 year sentence.

Charles, I agree with you. LEOs aren't the enemy. They didn't choose "the other side". They chose to enforce the laws.
My post above quoted Warrent who ranted against the LEOs. His post quoted yours above it and both appeared when I quoted his.
