I would like to start this post by thanking everyone that helped make this hunt a success. Since I reside in Denton and no longer live on the ranch, I have to depend on friends and family a lot when I run one of these hunts. Like always, yall came through for me and words cant express how much I appreciate it. Three of my close friends from the Denton area harvested trophy boars on this hunt and 2 of them had never hunted before. They enjoyed seeing the dogs in action and did some good knife work when it was time to take their boars. Next I would like to recognize everyone who contributed to the hunt. This is a long list so bare with me, first I would like to thank my mother in law Lucretia Bourrous for helping me host everyone and making sure everybody had a good meal after a hard hunt. Some of us were so out of shape, we didnt know if we would survive to partake of the BBQ after running those hills all morning. Next Id like to thank my cuz Kade/2KRanch and his wife Kerri for all their help, they took some pressure off of me and tied up a lot of loose ends. And you wont find better help in the woods than Kade. You can bet Kerri would have made every step with us if she wasnt expecting a baby girl real soon. Mike, I appreciate all your help, I hope you had a good time. Thanks for taking good care of Hawk for me, he looked great, it was good to spend some time with him. Millie and the hounds were also a pleasure to hunt with. We witnessed some real good dog work for sure. Many more people to thank but Im going to post this before I push the wrong button and lose it. Maybe Mike can post a few pics for yall.

Your always welcome my friend, the top pick is Austin, avid outdoorsman but first time hunter. His sisters bought him this hunt for Christmas. Second is Simon, also an avid outdoorsman but first time hunter. The hunt was a Christmas present from his wife and family. Last is Mike, a true Florida boy, he grew up running dogs and hunting gators but hadnt been on a good dog hunt in years. Sure glad he is in TX now, he is a good friend and went above and beyond to make sure all our bases were covered thoughout the weekend. As Mike mentioned, it was good to spend some time with Juan/American Legendz, we were able to train up a few green bulldogs and get them on the right track. Thanks for coming out and thanks for helping me produce another generation of AB catch dogs.

I really enjoyed my time this weekend. Love Indian valley ranch and maybe one day buy a piece of East Texas just like it to enjoy more often. Not even low 20 degree weather in a tent could break us. Lol loved every minute. How many can say the east Texas sky and singing coyotes put them to bed this weekend!  Was really great weekend Britt and I really needed a great time with great people like that!!! Mike as always a pleasure to talkin with u.  Getting to see ur cur dogs in action was a sight.  Thanks for letting me handle Millie and hawk.  I enjoyed all the running and action. Shoot I would rather exercise that way then run on track!! Lol I'll post some pics up tomorrow from my office computer.  A lot easier than phone.  Thanks to everyone else involved!! Kade, Bo, Cory and all the east Texas boys did an outstanding job! That BBQ ur mother in law had for us was awesome!! Till next buddy!!

Thanks for posting up more pics Juan. I would like to thank my good friends Bo Lewis and Cory Byerly for all their help and for bringing a good pack of dogs for the hunt. They are both from Jasper TX and have been loyal partners in trying to keep this line of catch dogs going. It was cool to finally see Boomer and Stump in action. It was really nice to meet Cory's wife Ashley, she was right there for every catch and is a real pro at caping trophy hogs. If you need a good taxidermist check out her site a back-2-lifetaxidermy.com. One of my best friends Dunnis Jolly was able to make the hunt. We had not hunted together since 2002, he recently moved back to TX from CA. Once again, thanks to all who contributed to this hunt, I hope we can all get together again soon.

Jeremy, it was really nice meeting you and Caleb, I appreciate you guys being willing to help out on the hunt. I also want to thank you for offering to take us all hunting on one of your spots. That was very generous of you, wish we hadn't ran out of time. We will definitely get it done when I head back that direction. You are at the top of the list for a bulldog pup, hopefully we will have one for you soon.

A big thanks to my friend Britt and the rest of the crew. We really enjoyed our trophy hunt at Indian Valley Ranch. I have done a lot of hog, deer, turkey & gator hunts but mostly in Florida & Georgia. It was great to finally get out and experience running these hogs Texas style. Looking forward to getting back down to the ranch with the whole crew again in the near future.
