Jus wondering what I might could do for my pup, if anything. Got a pup that's 8 months old now and Still continues to get motion sickness from the time he is placed in the box till u dump him on the ground. Looks like he swallowed a tenny shoe with the laces hanging out no puking though. I jus been hauling him more thinking it would go away but now my pup is not wanting to load up in the box , which is annoying to chase him around to load. Any suggestions...or something I might could give him ?

You can also give them ginger root for motion sickness.

If you don't want something that may make him drowsy, try Famotadine. You can buy this over the counter. It's worked VERY well for clients in the past, as well as with a few dogs I have used it on. It settles the stomach.

Just keep hauling him....he'll grow out of it probably, lol.

I had a pup that puked till he was 6-8 months then slobbered for the next 6 months. He didn't get straight till he was a year old or more.

I fly in the USAF and this is something that alot of aviators go through. If it works on a person it may work on the dog. Dramamine/Ginger root didn't help - the only thing that did was to constantly keep flying and the body will adapt to it. Air movement and being able to see ie. if your dog box has a side that gets wind and allows the dog to look outside should help.

that aint no lie bout being able or not being able to see. iv got over 600hrs over 400 under goggles, logged in a Chinook, and 100hrs or so as a pax and didn't get sick. but every stinkin time I get in a 130 or the german 123, I get sick to my stomach, start getting hot flashes n wanna throw up. its happened a couple times on large ga acft in sever turbulence as a pax. its happened a couple times though as a student pilot, especially with flicker vertigo. I had to hand the controls over the my cfi 1 time bc it was so bad, I couldn't see, had tunnel vision so bad, my vision went black/blue, saw stars, nauseated, but aftr a min or less, I was fine, just had to chug a lil water to keep from filling the cockpit floor with my lunch. I hope my luck holds out when I get my commercial rotary wing add-on

x2...don't feed the pup for a good while before the ride in the dog box...the few pups I had that got motion sickness got over it...

Try hauling him out side of the box. I get motion sick if I ride in the back seat and can't see the motion.

When your not hunting, I would be feeding him and giving him treats in the box.  Get him to start associating the box with good things.
