It's in Winnfield, La.

Go to "Full Boar Productions" they run the show.

They have a website. You can get in contact w/ someone. But yeah....just about anyone can drop their tailgate and offer up their potlickers   Undecided

For those that have not been:

I estimate that there will be about 500 different dogs and pups for sale.  Anyone can sell, you just have to find a spot.

Anything and everything in relation to hog dogging will be there.

It is a family style event and there will be tons of people, especially Saturday.

Once you've seen on of the bayings, you've seen them all.

Look for the Winn Parish Fairgrounds, it is off of HWY 167.

Bring cash, some of the vendors will not take credit cards.

If it is rainy that weekend, plan on wearing some rubber boots; it can get pretty messy.

There will be dogs tied everywhere and when you think you have seen them all, you'll see some more.

Ive been going every year for the last several years.  It is generally a good time.

To the untrained eye all the runs may look the same but it just ain't so  Grin

Its kind of like a boxing match and a rodeo rough stock event combined into one. Each Boar will have it's own personality...causing the dogs to react in a certain way.....and the dogs will also have variances in their bay styles as well. You can put two different dogs on the same boar and get two totally different runs.

It's usually one of those things where you either REALLY enjoy the events or you can take them or leave them, lol.

They use the same boars over and over and over and over.  You can sit there for 30 min and sometimes see the same boar more than once.  It don't take long and I know what each hog will do.  To a woods hunter that's likes to hunt hogs, not just bay them in the pin, once you've watch a bay, you've seen them all.

Well now I don't know about that. I'm a woods hunter first and foremost, but I still very much enjoy sitting back at the pens and watching different dogs bay. Different styles. I guess I'm just into watching dogs work period, no matter what the circumstances.

Where exactly is the event held?  Is there an address once in winnfield or do just have to "follow the crowd"?

The fairground are on HWY 34, south of HWY 167.  You'll need to turn into the fairgrounds from HWY 34.
