I recently gained access to a pretty large swamp where the only way in is by foot, 4 wheelers won't make it in and not enough water for a boat. Trying to figure an easy way to get injured dogs out in the case it happens as I can't carry some of my larger dogs very far especially in a swamp. Thinking of trying to use a heavy duty tarp that I can drag behind with the dog laying on it. Any one have a better idea.

Yeah.......that "gotta buy it" part gets me every time!!!

Seriously.....How about an inflatable float that you could blow-up and pull them out on?

yeah, one of those round tubes with a bottom in it might do the trick nicely...like people use to ride the rivers.

An air boat if you have the money! Grin

I love canoes and kayaks and they have suited me just fine hog hunting country like you are describing. You can pack a tone of gear in them (including kids, dogs and lunch) and they drag pretty easy over the mud even loaded.
If the water gets a little deep then just crawl in and paddle.
